Leo 'Robert' Cline

Leo “Robert” Cline, 87, of Ottawa Lake, MI, died Thursday, June 29, 2017, in Flower Hospital, Sylvania, OH. Born July 15, 1929, in Bedford Twp., Michigan, he was the son of Theodore and Ruth (Gensler) Cline. A 1947 graduate from Blissfield High School, he married Suanne J. Mattes on August 9, 1958. Robert served his country in the US Army during the Korean War. He was employed by Whiteford Agricultural Schools as mechanic and supervisor of building and grounds, retiring in 1993. He was a member of St. Michael Lutheran Church in Ottawa Lake, MI and the V.F.W., Post 9656, Lambertville, MI. Robert enjoyed hunting, fishing, walks in the woods and spending time with his family.
He is survived by his loving wife of 58 years, Suanne; children, Barbara (Greg) Borden, Douglas (Wendy) Cline, Dennis (Gary) Cline, Cathy (Michael) Machcinski and Timothy (Tammy) Cline; brother, Raymond (Rita) Cline, 13 grandchildren and 11 great grandchildren. Robert was preceded in death by 2 sisters, Marilyn Perry and Rose Marie Nadeau.
A gathering will be held Thursday, July 6, 2017, from 2-4 pm at St. Michael Lutheran Church, 5790 W Temperance Rd, Ottawa Lake, MI 49267, where a memorial service will follow at 4:00 pm. Reverend Mark Gibbs, officiating. Memorials may be made to Whiteford Agricultural Schools or St. Michael Lutheran Church. Arrangements by the Michael W.
